Sheila Thobani

Attorney Sheila Thobani has a genuine concern for her clients and provides a strong work ethic in her representation to ensure exceptional outcomes. She uses her litigation skills to defend clients in a variety of areas including civil rights matters and insurance disputes. Prior to joining Wirth + Baynard, Sheila counseled private and public entities, including municipalities and public schools, on issues of administrative law, employment law, public records law, and more. Prior to her private practice journey, Sheila served as an Assistant City Attorney for the City of Milwaukee, where she served as General Counsel for Milwaukee Public Schools and advised various city departments including the Milwaukee Police Department and Department of Neighborhood Services, while representing them in State Court, Municipal Court, and before city tribunals.

Sheila has been named Top 40 Under 40 by the National Black Lawyers. Her accolades also include being named a “Rising Star” by Super Lawyers. She serves as a board member on a local charter school, as a section member of the Wisconsin State Bar, and as a board member for the Marquette Law School Alumni Association.

Outside of work, you can find Sheila enjoying quality time with her child and husband, teaching her boxer dog new tricks, and dabbling in boutique cigars on a sunny day.
